Title Replacement of Culvert XCE1071 Bohemia Church Road Over Little Bohemia Creek
Description Sealed bid proposals for "Replacment of Culvert XCE1071 Bohemia Church Road over Little Bohemia Creek" as described in the proposal package, for the Cecil County Government, Department of Public Works will be received from qualified bidders until 1:30 PM, June 7, 2012 at the Purchasing Department, 200 Chesapeake Blvd, Suite 1400, Elkton, MD 21921. The project is the replacement of the existing pipe culverts on Bohemia Church Road over Little Bohemia Creek. The work includes but is not limited to removal of the existing two (2) 71” x 47” corrugated metal pipe arches and concrete headwall, construction of replacement culverts consisting of prefabricated concrete box culverts with cast in place wingwalls, associated erosion and sedimentation control, and approach roadway work to reconstruct the approaches to provide a smooth transition to the new culvert. A mandatory pre-bid information conference will be held on May 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Perryville Conference Room, County Administrative Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, MD 21921. Bids will not be accepted from any contractors that did not attend a mandatory pre-bid information conference. Bid packages may be purchased at the Purchasing Office at a non-refundable cost of $125.00 per package for hard copies, or $10 per package for electronic copies (PDF format) provided on a compact disc. Bid packages are provided on the Cecil County web-page (http://www.ccgov.org/dept_purchasing/index.cfm) as a PDF document for all vendors to download. Additional specifications and/or instructions to bidders may also be obtained by emailing koconnor@ccgov.org (cc/ dpyle@ccgov.org) or calling the Purchasing Department, (Katie O’Connor, Purchasing Assistant), at 410-996-5396. Electronically submitted bid proposals will not be accepted. Bid proposals are provided as a .pdf document for all vendors to download. All vendors wishing to submit a proposal should obtain an original set of documents or a compact disc from the Cecil County Purchasing Department. If you choose to download the package from the website, you shall notify the Purchasing Office via e-mail or phone. Not meeting this requirement may result in your proposal being considered as non-responsive. Changes or addendums to this proposal and/or other documents will be posted to the proposal documents on the County web-page and sent directly to vendors who have obtained an original set of proposal documents or a compact disk or have obtained an electronic copy from the Purchasing Office. The County is not responsible for information obtained from sources outside the Cecil County Purchasing Office, including downloads from the County website. Vendors obtaining electronic copies of the proposal documents from outside the Purchasing Office will be directly responsible for obtaining updates, changes or addendums either from the updated web-page or by contacting the Purchasing Office.
