Sealed proposals for the "Rising sun Branch Roof and Window Replacement and Roof Truss Repair" for the Cecil County Public Library, Board of Library Trustees, will be received until
2:00 p.m. Local time, June 1, 2012
at the Cecil County Public Library Administrative Headquarters, Elkton Central Library, 301 Newark Avenue, Elkton, MD 21921-5441, after which they will be publicly opened and recorded. Please note that bids are not to be submitted to the Project Location (Rising Sun Branch.) Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bids submitted to this location at their sole discretion. Electronically submitted bid proposals will not be accepted.
The work includes the following major items: Demolition and replacement of : Construction of a roofing and deck replacement and roof truss repair including all necessary demolition, sheathing, shingles, venting system, associated flashings, sheet metal, gutter and downspouts and window replacement.
On or after May 11, 2012, the bid package is available from JMT by contacting: SMcCone@jmt.com. Copies of these documents may be obtained upon payment of $50.00 payable to JMT, which is non-refundable, or electronically, payment not required.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Rising Sun Branch Library, 111 Colonial Way, Rising Sun, Maryland 21911, on May 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
The Board of Library Trustees reserves the right to show preference to fully responsive general contractor(s) who meets the strict definition of local contractor as specified within this document, not to exceed 6% total preference.
All work must be completed according to applicable local, state and federal laws, guidelines, regulations, etc. to include the following:
1. International Building Code, latest edition, including all revisions
2. American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) latest edition, including all revisions.
3. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) product ratings latest edition, including all revisions.
